Wears Valley, and by extension Townsend, prides itself on being a less commercial alternative to Pigeon Forge and the other high traffic cities of the Tennessee Smokies. We enjoy the attractions of those areas as much as anyone else, but everyone needs a place to go to that is smaller, quieter, and providing a more intimate experience with the roots of our history and culture here in the Smokies.
